anyway, the event is a really good idea if we can get the press to be present to give some publicity and then print some promotional materials to bosst singastro membership. with a "home" to converge in where super active young and old astronomers alike can share their ideas and activities, I think astronomy can be taken to the next level. already we have some secondary schools in here like carlogambino, etc...
I don't mind helping out but you all know my "pattern"...assistance possible only after 10pm!
so when can we confirm the date?
cheers

Wee Kiong, looks like you are the lead for this Singastro project. We will need you to draw up a few things or it will never get started. Among other things, you will need:
1. Time line for the project after deciding the date of the event.
2. Confirm comittee members. We will definitely need members from the polys and schools to help form sub-committees. Guys, please volunteer
3. Subcoms to do publicity, arrange for sponsors, venue and members to bring equipment, plan for activities (incl wet weather program)
4. Can someone try to contact Remus? I know he is pretty busy and not free to pop in regularly, but we do need to pick his brains and time for this event.
I was thinking of holding it in a school that is accessible by public transport.
The display/swap meet/talks can be held indoors in the hall with the viewing done outdoors nearby.
Any other things to note? I suggest starting another forum for this planning.
