I could bring mine too. But I'm not sure about availability of transport.

If I get to use the family car I'll bring the 8" Celestron Newtonion + LXD55. If no car, then I'll bring the more portable Skywatcher 127MCT + Manfrotto setup.
see you under the stars...

mmm....I noticed that Pamela is bringing her ETX90 instead of her ETX125...?
Also, there is already another ETX90 around, so I'm thinking whether to bring my Orion ED80 APO instead? With wide views, its going to limit the objects that can be seen and of course, clueless me when it comes to manual !
BTW, I spoke to Samuel, he will bring his MN56 if there is transport or Televue Pronto if not. I will be giving him a lift as long as I can make it for the event...

As for the 16.1", have to check if Chuang Yee can bring it in his brand new "VoyagerII ". Wira can't make it as ithe event is too near to Hari Raya Puasa.
A damn pity Chee Chien is in the US now..else we will see him there...

Have you all checked with Cindy , Elton , Chung Hooi, Gary Goh, David Lian, YL Low and Berkempf as well ? would be nice to see the Nexstar 8GPS there...heh heh

Posting On Behalf Of Weixiong!

Post by Q »

Weixiong is in camp now but I'm posting on his behalf. Please take note of his message.
[hr]
Weixiong says:

1) We need telescopes not just for the observations but also for display in the Concourse for public viewing. This is show the public the different kinds of telescope designs available.

Anyone kind enough to volunteer their scopes for display please contact Terry Mathews at sirius_746@yahoo.com.sg

Those who have already volunteered their scopes for observation are also welcomed to display too. Rest assured all equipment will be well taken care of by experienced people.

2) All Outdoor Volunteers are strongly encouraged to deposit their equipment in a store room that will be available from 8-10 Nov. This will make it more convenient for the volunteers to set up their equipment without having to rush on the actual event. Please contact Terry Mathews sirius_746@yahoo.com.sg to arrange with him. Likewise all equipment will be under good hands.
