I have been wondering about it as well. I do not know if it responds to IR, visible spectrum and UV all at the same time. If imaging is done with a refractor, how to focus all the wavelengths to 1 point?

I'm beginning to like Fuji's HR and SR II CCDs... I think they outperform the Canon Digic III from various reviews.

Was looking at the Canon Powershot G7 but the shutter lag is reported to be terrible, and no RAW mode! *Sigh*

Hi,
Was looking at the Canon Powershot G7 but the shutter lag is reported to be terrible, and no RAW mode! *Sigh*
I was playing with it at a camera shop just now... didn't notice any shutter lag. Image quality was very good... at least from my standard... just no RAW.

Have a nice day.

Thanks Weixing, for your feedback. I will check out the G7 again.

Cheers!

mm...comparing the G7 and the S3Pro may not be correct as its like trying to compare a Ferrari's engine with a Cherry QQ. But this version is more for IR whereas for astrophotgraphy I thought its best to have it without any filters and low noise.
