I wonder if they keep the price the same? And the quality?

Well I hope they raise the quality! My portaball's electrical system was dead-on-arrival. There were TWO bad solder joints and one bad grounding connection. The last thing I expected on the day I received my scope was to have to dust off my soldering iron! So much for "Made in usa"

Oh dear!

Maybe if you read the box carefully, it says "Some assembly required"?

It should say "Made in usa --> Over-priced and may not work as advertised"

eh this kind of delicate hand crafted stuff cannot expect too much la. there's always a compromise between durability and portability. must keep some glue, screwdriver, tape, etc etc for minor repairs.

Eh its not hard at all to make a good solder joint, so this kind of defects in a brand-new scope of this price point is inexcusable...
