newbie here.. and into astrophotography!

Post by duckvader »

hi 'ya!!

this is my first post here, so a little intro..
i have been interested in astromony since i was 11 (24 yrs ago!), but never really had the time or $$ to pursue my interest.. (not that i have it now :P)

i recently purchased a nikon d300 and am now very keen to pursue astrophotography.. can anyone recommend a beginner scope (budget (new or used is fine)) and other necessary accessories needed for astrophotography?
something portable would be great as i dont drive..

thanks a million!

Hi,
Welcome to SingAstro!!

Actually not that chim for most part and you don't need to understand all the theory to take astrophoto, but you'll need lots of patient. Also, it's not that expensive to take decent astrophoto, especially you already had 1/3 of the setup... the DSLR.

Have a nice day.

I said you are from the dark side because you are a Nikon user. D300 is even darker. Me too owner of a D300. So, we should be a closer relatives of Darthvader. [smilie=lol.gif]
