CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!
Hi all, took this single shot of the Orion constellation last evening. It's a no frills shot, just with tripod, standard walk around lens & Canon 30D. The annoying amber sky was very effectively surpressed with Hutech IDAS LPS filter mounted on the front of the camera lens.

How much did you pay for it and where did you get it from?? Will want to get one if got budget.
Bought directly from Hutech. Not cheap, about 280USD for the 67mm. If I would to buy all over again, will get the in-camera front filter type, cost just as much, but you will have the flexibility to use it on any ota and most lenses.
