Located in the constellation Sagittarius, the Trifid nebula is a beautiful combination of reflection nebula (blue) and emission nebula (red).
This picture is comprised of 18 x 15 minute exposures, totaling 4.5 hours. It was captured on Sunday night 17th May 09 up until the last quarter moon came up and drowned out the sky.
